South Africa launches AD investigation on SS pipes

On June 13, 2005, the International Trade Administration Commission of South Africa initiated an anti-dumping investigation on stainless steel tubes and pipes originating in or imported from China, Taiwan, India and Malaysia. The investigation will cover all enterprises exporting stainless steel tubes and pipes to South Africa. As per the export quantities, the investigation will center mainly on Chinese exporters . The rules in South Africa require that the companies under investigation submit their comments within 30 days; however, most of the Chinese companies have not yet decided whether or not to submit comments.
