SteelOrbis Shanghai Some hot rolled exporters are currently reluctant to offer quotations due to the continued increase in the price of HR coil in the Chinese domestic market (the price of HR coils has risen by around $22/mt over the last two weeks). Moreover, there is also uncertainty concerning what will happen to the HR coil export rebate in the near future. Among the exporters, Tong Steel has postponed issuing quotations for HR coil to South Korea. They most recently exported HR coils to Korea at $470/mt CFR, and are reported to be considering an increase to their export quotation. Some steel manufacturers and other exporters are also reluctant to quote at present, likewise due to uncertainty regarding the export rebate issue.
