SMS to supply new cold rolling mill to Vietnam-based Nam Kim Steel

Germany-based plantmaker SMS Group has announced that Vietnamese steel producer Nam Kim Steel Joint Stock Company has ordered a new cold rolling mill from Esmech Equipment Pvt, Ltd., an Indian joint venture company of SMS Group, to expand its production facilities located in Binh Duong Province, Vietnam. The core rolling technological components of the new mill will be manufactured by SMS Group in Germany.

The new cold rolling mill, which will be ready to use in the second quarter of 2017, will roll strips in a width range of 650-1,250 millimeters and down to final gages of a minimum of 0.11 millimeters.
