German plantmaker SMS Siemag announced on July 26 that it has received an order from India's largest steelmaker JSW Steel (JSW) to supply a pickling line/tandem cold mill at its location in Toranagallu Vidyanagar (Bellary), India.

Accordingly, the pickling line/tandem cold mill will have an annual capacity of 2.3 million mt of cold strip in widths up to 1,890 mm. On the new pickling line/tandem cold mill, JSW will produce strips in high quality steel grades from 2013 and will supply these to the automotive industry.

This is the third cold rolling mill supplied by SMS Siemag to JSW Steel Limited, following the supply of a compact cold mill and a skin-pass mill.
