SMS Siemag to supply hot strip annealing and pickling line for China’s TISCO

German plantmaker SMS Siemag has announced that it has received an order from Chinese stainless steel producer Shanxi Taigang Stainless Steel Company (TISCO) to supply the world´s highest-capacity annealing and pickling line for hot strip.
 
The line will process 1 million mt of austenitic and ferritic stainless steel strips per year. The facility is scheduled to go on stream at the end of 2013 in TISCO's main plant in Taigang in the province of Shanxi.
 
With this annealing and pickling line, TISCO aims to increase its capacities for high-grade stainless steel strips and at the same time to cut production costs. The line will produce hot rolled steel strips ranging from 2.0 mm to 6.0 mm in thickness and from 1,040 mm to 1,650 mm in width.
