German plantmaker SMS Group has announced that it will modernize the forming section of Spain-based pipe supplier Tuflesa’s electrical resistance welding (ERW) line.

The modernization will enable the company to produce round tubes of up to 240 mm diameter and to improve its production reliability to meet the increasing demand for high-strength tubular solutions.

The line is scheduled to be commissioned at the end of August 2024.
