SMI to increase output of high-valued products

Japanese Sumitomo Metal Industries (SMI)announced plans to focus on high quality steel production and to increase its production in the next three years. Accordingly, the company will spend Yen 480 billion ($4.056 billion) for the next three years in order to focus on production of high value-added steel products and to increase competitiveness.
