The Russian pipe producer TMK Group (TMK) has announced that its subsidiary Sinarsky pipe plant (SinTZ) has commenced the construction of a new line for the application of anti-corrosion coatings for pipes.

The new line, for which German firm Venjakob is supplying the basic equipment, will allow SinTz to manufacture products in line with the requirements of international standards, including API 5CT pipes of PSL1 and PSL2 levels. Due to the anti-corrosion coating, the pipes will be able to maintain their properties during transportation and extended storage.

The new line is scheduled to become operational in 2009.

The construction is in line with TMK's strategic investment program.
