Siemens to supply rebar rolling mill for Indian steelmaker

Austria-based plantmaker Siemens Metals Technologies has announced that it will supply a rebar rolling mill for the Indian steel producer Kalika Steel Alloys Pvt. Ltd. (Kalika Steel). The mill will be erected in the Jalna plant in the state of Maharashtra.
 
Kalika Steel aims to expand its production with the new rolling mill in order to serve the growing Indian construction sector. The rolling mill will produce about 250,000 mt of rebar per year from low-carbon steels. Commissioning of the rolling mill is scheduled for late 2014.
