Shuicheng Steel achieves record low coke usage at BFs Nos. 2 & 3

Guizhou Province-based Chinese steelmaker Shuicheng Iron and Steel Co. (Shuicheng Steel), a subsidiary of Shougang Group, has announced that it achieved record low coke consumption at its blast furnaces No. 2 and No. 3 in April this year.

Accordingly, in April the average coke consumption of blast furnace No. 2 was 344 kg/mt, 35kg/mt lower than the targeted figure, while the average coke consumption of blast furnace No. 3 was 338 kg/mt, 21kg/mt lower than the target.
