Shougang Jingtang’s cold rolling plant No. 3 starts cold load tests

Hebei Province-based Chinese steelmaker Shougang Jingtang Co.'s cold rolling plant No. 3 started cold load tests on July 8, as announced by Beijing-based state-owned China Metallurgical Corporation (MCC). The plant was built by China MCC20 Group Co., a subsidiary of MCC, with construction having commenced in January 2012.

The designed annual finished output of the plant in question is 800,000 mt, including 350,000 mt of ordinary cold rolled coil (CRC) and 450,000 mt of tinplated products, with thicknesses in a range of 0.2-1.0 mm and widths in a range of 700-1,250 mm. Products will mainly be supplied for high-grade food packaging and home appliance manufacture.
