Shougang Jingtang produces 760,000 mt of semi-finished steel in April

Hebei Province-based Chinese steelmaker Shougang Jingtang United Iron & Steel (Shougang Jingtang) has announced that in April this year its production of semi-finished steel reached 760,000 mt.
 
Meanwhile, in April this year the steelmaking costs of the company were down by RMB 200/mt ($31.75/mt) compared to April 2011. In April of the current year Shougang Jingtang produced 1.28 million mt of rolled steel products, exceeding the targeted volume by 331,900 mt. In the first four months, it produced 118,600 mt of steel for application in wheel production, 52,700 mt of line pipe and 175,600 mt of weather-resistant steel.
