Shougang issues ex-factory prices for September

On August 28 Shougang Iron and Steel Group announced its September ex-mill prices for certain steel products. The new prices are as follows:

Q235 high speed wire rods of 6.5 mm diameter are priced at RMB 5,135/mt ($752/mt).

HRB 335 rebars of 16-25 mm size cost RMB 5,285/mt ($774/mt).

Q235 5.75 mm × 1,500 mm hot rolled coils have dropped down RMB 700/mt ($102/mt) to RMB 5,550/mt ($813/mt).

The price of Q235A medium plates of 11-14 mm size has decreased by RMB 200/mt ($29/mt) to RMB 6,910/mt ($1,012/mt), while the 15-25 mm medium plate price stands at RMB 6,820/mt ($999/mt).

Finally, the price of SPCC 1.0 mm CRC is RMB 6,050/mt ($886/mt).

All the above prices are ex-works, including 17 percent VAT, effective from September 1, 2008.
