Shaoguan Steel ups ex-factory prices

On May 14, Guangdong Province-based Shaoguan Steel upped its ex-factory prices for some products. The details are as follows;

1. The ex-factory prices of medium plate and shipbuilding plate have been raised by RMB 120/mt ($15.6/mt). After the adjustment, the new price of 14-20 mm Q235 is RMB 4,350/mt ($567/mt) in Guangzhou.

2. The price of quality carbon steel has gone up RMB 60/mt ($7.8/mt). As a result, the new price in Guangzhou of 14-25 mm 45# is RMB 4,420/mt ($576/mt).

3. The producer's wire rod price has been hiked by RMB 120 ($15.6/mt), with the new price of 6.5 mm Q235 now at RMB 3,850/mt ($502/mt).

All the above prices include 17 percent VAT and are effective as of May 14.
