Shaoguan Steel hikes medium plate price

On April 12, Guangdong Province-based Shaoguan Steel announced ex-factory price increases for medium plate. The details are as follows:

1. The producer’s common carbon plate and low alloy plate prices have been hiked by RMB 40/mt ($5.18/mt). Following the adjustment, the new price in Guangzhou of 14-20 mm Q235 is RMB 4,050/mt ($524/mt).

2. The price of shipbuilding plate has risen by RMB 50/mt ($6.48/mt). The new price of 14-20 mm CCSB is RMB 4,730/mt ($613/mt) in Guangzhou.

The above prices include 17 percent VAT and are effective as of April 12.
