Shanxi Province to cut power supply to disqualified companies from Sept 30

The authorities in the Chinese province of Shanxi have issued a notice regarding power cuts for disqualified companies in 2010. Accordingly, the province is planning to cut power supply to disqualified companies in various sectors such as calcium carbide, titanium alloys, iron and steel, non-ferrous metals, cement, paper-making and electric power.

The provincial authorities have determined that as of September 30 power supply will be cut for disqualified companies in all the abovementioned sectors except the electric power sector.
