Shagang successfully runs wide and heavy plate line

SteelOrbis Shanghai Equipped with first-stage Manufacturing Execution System (MES), Shagang's wide and heavy plate line has successfully begun trial production. So, for the first time Shagang has started to use MES software system for its wide and heavy plate production. The new MES covers all processes in the mill's wide and heavy plate production. Shagang's first-stage MES includes Customer Order Management (COM), Warehouse Management System (WMS), Production Scheduling System (PSS), and Statistical Process Control (SPC). Shagang's new MES is currently performing well, satisfying the actual needs of the mill's wide and heavy plate manufacturing. Shagang will now continue to work towards the completion of its second-stage MES, achieving the overall integration of the MES with the rolling mill system.
