Shagang sharply lowers HRC prices for July

On July 1, Jiangsu Province-based Shagang announced its ex-factory prices for July. The details are as follows:

1. Rebar prices remain constant from late June levels. Thus, the price of 14-25 mm diameter HRB 335 is now at RMB 3,450/mt ($453/mt).

2. High speed wire rod prices have also remained unchanged. As a result, the price of 6.5 mm Q235 is still at RMB 3,650/mt ($480/mt).

3. HR coils prices are sharply down by RMB 670/mt ($88/mt) compared with the previous month. Following the adjustment, the price of 2.0 mm x 1,250 mm x C SPHC is at RMB 4,250/mt ($558/mt), while that of 2.0 mm x 1,250 mm x C SS400 is at RMB 3,780/mt ($497/mt); finally, the price of 5.75 mm x 1,500 mm x C SS400 is at RMB 3,610/mt ($474/mt).

All the above prices include 17 percent VAT. The long product prices are effective from July 1 to July 10, while the HR coil prices will be in effect for the whole of July.
