Shagang posts net profit of RMB 4.809 billion for 2014

Jiangsu Province-based Chinese steelmaker Shagang Iron and Steel Co. has announced that it achieved an operating revenue of RMB 248.536 billion ($40.086 billion) in 2014, with a net profit of RMB 4.809 billion ($0.776 billion) in the same year, up 8.99 percent and rising by 55.5 percent year on year, respectively. 

In 2014, Shagang exported an all-time annual record for the company of 5.19 million mt of finished steel, up 50 percent year on year.
