Shagang issues latest ex-factory prices

SteelOrbis Shanghai On January 1, Jiangsu Province-based steelmaker Shagang announced its latest ex-factory prices. The details are as follows: 1. Rebar prices have remained unchanged from late December levels. As a result, the price of 14-25 mm diameter HRB335 is still at RMB 3,100/mt ($397/mt). 2. Wire rod prices have likewise remained constant. Thus, the price of 6.5 mm diameter Q235 is still at RMB 3,300/mt ($423/mt). 3. HR coil prices saw a slight increase. As a result, the price of Q235B HR coils with thickness <4.0 mm increased RMB 50-100/mt ($6-13/mt), while that of 2.00 mm x 1,250 mm x C Q235B is now at RMB 4,420/mt ($567/mt). Meanwhile, the price of Q235B HR coils with thickness >4.0 mm remained unchanged, while that of 5.75mm x 1500mm x C Q235B is at RMB 3,800/mt ($487/mt). Finally, the price of SPHC increased RMB 50/mt ($6/mt), and that of 2.00 mm x 1,250 mm x C is now at RMB 4,590/mt ($588/mt). The above prices include 17 percent VAT. The long products prices are effective from January 1 to January 10, 2007, while the HR coil prices are in effect for the whole of January.
