Severstal is expanding into Eastern Europe

Russian mill Severstal has recently announced that it has built a new pipe mill at its service center at Severstallat, Latvia. The company officials stated that the trial operations commenced in early October and the first production is planned to take place in November. The mill, which will have a production capacity of 2'600 tons per month, will produce pipes with the diameter ranging between 20 and 76 mm. With the establishment of the new mill in Latvia, Severstal will have consolidated its presence in Eastern Europe.
