Severstal Cherepovets repairs wire rod mill 150 and heating furnace

Severstal Cherepovets, the main steel producing facility of Severstal Russian Steel, has announced that it started the overhaul of its wire rod mill 150 and of its heating furnace.

The total cost of the overhaul amounts to Ruble 11 million (approx. $328,350), and will allow Severstal Cherepovets to reduce the natural gas consumption of its heating furnace by 0.5 percent, and to restore the unit's target settings.

The overhaul will be carried out by Severstal's subsidiaries.
