Severstal Belarus ups sales by 41 percent in Q1

In Q1 2010, Severstal Belarus (Severstalbel), a trading company of Russian steel producer Severstal, increased its rolled steel product sales by 41 percent year on year due to effective planning of product mix and the implementation of a competitive pricing policy in the Belarusian market, reads the company's statement.

In March this year, Severstalbel saw an 18 percent increase year on year in steel product sales from its warehouses to 2,700 mt.

As SteelOrbis previously reported, in 2009 Severstalbel saw its total sales decrease by 21 percent year on year to 35,100 mt.
