Severstal and ChelPipe Group to further develop partnership in 2016

Russian steel producer Severstal has announced that it has signed a strategic agreement with Russian producer of welded and seamless steel tubes and pipes, Joint Stock Company Chelyabinsk Pipe-Rolling Plant (ChelPipe), to further develop their partnership in 2016. With their 2016 science and technology cooperation agreement (STC), in the given year the two companies will continue to develop corrosion-resistant products and launch joint production of rolled steel and large diameter pipes.

In 2015, Severstal delivered over 94,000 mt of rolled metal to ChelPipe, up 27 percent year on year.
