Scrap Association offers to regulate exports

USMA, Ukraine Secondary Metals Association, has offered to regulate scrap exports of member companies, on the condition that the duty on ferrous scrap is lowered from €30 /mt to €18/mt. It is reported that the members of the Association account for the 80% of Ukraine's ferrous scrap processing volume. Still, the Ukranian government shows no signs of intention to lower the export duty on steel scrap.
