Spain-based industrial engineering company Sarralle has announced that it will undertake the design, the supply and installation of a new water treatment plant at ArcelorMittal Spain’s Gijón mill.

Accordingly, the new plant will complement the electric arc furnace (EAF) that was ordered by ArcelorMittal for the same mill from Sarralle as part of its decarbonization strategy. In the meantime, a fumes exhaust system and a waste recovery system will be installed to maximize the energy efficiency of the EAF. Also, Sarralle will supply a new cooling water system to feed the EAF and a new compressed air room for fumes exhaust system.
