SAIL’s Rourkela mill achieves highest single day output of ERW pipes

Indian state-run steel producer Steel Authority of India Limited’s Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) achieved its highest-ever single day production of electric resistance welded (ERW) pipes at 575 mt on October 15, a company statement said on Tuesday, October 17.

The previous highest single day production of ERW pipes was 552 mt on September 25, 2022.

The pipe making facility of RSP was established 63 years ago and the achievement of single day highest output has reinforced the mill’s ability to cater to high-value products, the company statement said.
