SAIL’s crude steel output up four percent in February

Indian state-owned steelmaker Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) has announced that it achieved seven percent year-on-year growth in total finished steel sales in February this year, while its finished steel output amounted to 1 million mt, up seven percent compared to the same month of the previous year.
 
In February, SAIL produced 1.12 million mt of pig iron and 1.4 million mt of crude steel, both increasing by four percent compared to the same month of 2013.
