SAIL sees record steel product sales in April-September

Indian state-run steelmaker Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) has announced a 16 percent increase in steel products sales during September, while the sales growth in the second quarter (July-September) of the financial year 2013-14 was 14 percent. During the second quarter, the company sold 3.1 million mt of steel products.
 
In the first half of the current financial year, SAIL achieved record steel product sales of 6.5 million mt, registering a growth of four percent compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
 
SAIL expressed confidence that the growth trend in sales and exports will continue in the coming months.
