SABIC Metals to build a painting facility

Saudi Arabia's SABIC Metals signed a contract with a consortium including South Korea's POSCO Engineering & Construction Co Ltd and Daewoo International for the design and installation of a flat painting facility at company's Hadeed complex in Jubail Industrial City, sources report. The new facility, which will be designed to have an annual production capacity of 120'000 tons, is planned to be operational in November 2006. Company sources report that the new production line is a part of expansion projects SABIC took on. The new facility will also complement the existing flat facilities of SABIC.
