S. Korea sees increase in steel output

South Korea's crude steel output rose 0.4 percent year on year in 2005 despite the country's economic slump. South Korean Iron & Steel Association (KISA) disclosed that the country's crude steel output amounted to 47.7 million tons last year. KISA indicates that the crude steel output was an all-time high, ranking fifth in the world for the fourth consecutive year.
