Ruukki to supply for construction of steel wire plant in Lipetsk

Finland-based steelmaker Ruukki announced that it has signed a EUR 7 million contract with the Russian company Terwingo to design and deliver the steel frame and roof structures for a special steel wire production plant to be built in the Lipetsk region, Russia.

The new plant being built in Gryaz, near Lipetsk will produce special steel wire for use in the solar energy industry. The production capacity of the plant is around 10,000 mt per year.
 
According to the Ruukki statement, truss structures suitable for large logistics, production and commercial buildings introduced by Ruukki this spring will be used in this project. Ruukki will complete the deliveries by the end of January 2012.
