Finland-based steelmaker Ruukki has announced that it has completed employer-employee negotiations, resulting in a workforce reduction of about 250 people.

The negotiations initiated in September affected most of Ruukki Metals' production organization in Finland, or a total of around 3,500 persons. The Raahe Works and Hämeenlinna Works were the largest units affected by these negotiations.

Ruukki was aiming for annual savings of around €10 million which were expected to be achieved in full during the third quarter of 2013.
