Russia’s ferrous metal export volume up six percent in H1

In the first six months of the current year, Russia's ferrous metal export volume increased by six percent to 20.8 million mt, while the value of these exports decreased to $8.2 billion from $10.2 billion, both year on year.

In particular, in the given period Russian exports of pig iron rose by 12 percent to 2.54 million mt, while exports of semi-finished products increased by 14 percent to 7.25 million mt, and flat steel product exports totaled 4.07 million mt, remaining unchanged, all year on year.  Meanwhile, exports of ferroalloys decreased by 25 percent year on year to 356,100 mt.
