Russia’s coated flat steel output up 18.1 percent in June

Russia's coated flat steel production in June this year reached 449,000 mt, up 18.1 percent compared to the previous month and down by 8.2 percent compared to June 2014, according to Russia's Federal State Statistics Service.
 
In particular, Russian hot dip galvanized (HDG) steel output in June reached 53,000 mt, up by 13.2 percent compared to the previous month and rising by 2.4 percent year on year.
 
In the January-June period of the current year, Russia saw a 5.9 percent decrease in its coated steel production, while output of HDG steel increased by six percent, both compared to the corresponding period of 2014.
