Russia's stainless steel exports down 58.7% in Jan-May

Russian exports of stainless steel products in the January-May period of this year decreased by 58.7 percent year on year to 4,380 mt, according to Russia-based SpetsStal Association.

In particular, in terms of stainless steel products, in the given period Russia's exports of long steel went up by 28.9 percent to 2,401 mt, its flat steel exports declined by 32.5 percent to 624 mt, exports of ERW pipes decreased by 86.1 percent to 26 mt, exports of seamless pipes moved up by 1.7 percent to 854 mt, wire exports declined by 82.7 percent to 14 mt and billet exports decreased by 93.1 percent to 461 mt, all year on year.
