Russia’s Kuzbassrazrezugol announces Jan-Oct operational results

Russian coal mining company Kuzbassrazrezugol has issued its operational results for October and for the first ten months of 2009.

Accordingly, in October Kuzbassrazrezugol fulfilled its production plan for the month at the rate of 101.7 percent, producing 4.14 million of coal, including 226,000 mt of coking coal. Meanwhile, in the first ten months of 2009, Kuzbassrazrezugol's coal output amounted to 38.28 million mt - down 7.9 percent year on year, including 2.256 million mt of coking coal - down 48.7 percent year on year.

In January-October this year, Kuzbassrazrezugol's deliveries of coking coal amounted to 2.331 million mt - down around 42 percent compared to the same period last year.

As SteelOrbis previously reported, in 2009 Kuzbassrazrezugol plans to produce a total of 46 million mt of coal, including 2.05 million mt of coking coal.
