Russia’s ferrous metal export volume up 13 percent in January

According to the State Statistics Committee of Russia (Russtat), in January this year Russia's ferrous metal exports increased by 13.2 percent year on year to 2.563 million mt, including 190,800 mt of pig iron, down 25.9 percent year on year. The total value of Russia's ferrous metal exports in January this year was $1.564 billion.

Meanwhile, in the given month Russia registered a 28.4 percent increase year on year in its ferrous metal imports to 371,800 mt, with a total value of $358.6 million.
