Russia’s ferrous metal export volume down 7.9 percent in Jan-July

In the January-July period of the current year, Russia's ferrous metal export volume decreased by 7.9 percent year on year to 21.266 million mt, including 2.046 million mt of pig iron, down 13 percent year on year, according to the State Statistics Committee of Russia (Russtat). The total value of Russia's ferrous metal exports in January-July this year was $11.636 billion, down 15.1 percent year on year.

In the January-July period this year, Russia's ferrous metal imports increased by 6.8 percent year on year to 3.816 million mt, including 541,500 mt of steel tubes, up 23.5 percent year on year. The total value of Russia's ferrous metal imports in January-July this year was $3.457 billion, down 2.6 percent year on year.
