Russia's crude steel production in the January-November period of the current year amounted to 63.7 million mt, down 1.2 percent compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, according to Russia's Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat). In November alone, Russia's crude steel production decreased by 4.2 percent year on year and by 1.8 percent month on month.
In the January-November period, Russian pig iron output increased by 4.5 percent year on year to 49.1 million mt, though production of pig iron in November alone decreased by four percent month on month and increased by 2.4 percent year on year.
In the first 11 months of the current year, Russia’s finished steel output went down by 0.9 percent year on year to 55.4 million mt, while production in November alone decreased by 3.5 percent month on month and by 6.7 percent year on year.
In addition, in the January-November period, Russia’s steel pipe production increased three percent year on year to 10.5 million mt, while in November production decreased by six percent month on month and by 7.6 percent year on year.
Meanwhile, Russia’s coke output declined by 1.8 percent year on year to 23.8 million mt in the first 11 months of this year, and in November alone the country’s coke output decreased by 2.8 percent month on month and by five percent year on year.
