17 largest trading companies from Ural region of Russia sent a letter to the Ministry of Economical Development and Trade of Russian Federation (MEDT) asking not to impose the antidumping duties (AD) against imports of Ukrainian CR flat products. The trading companies argued that the imposition of the AD measures would lead to lower level of the competition in the Russian domestic market, and as a consequence, would push the domestic prices up by 10-15 percent. As previously reported by SteelOrbis, earlier this month MEDT had initiated the AD investigation against imports of Ukrainian CR flat products. That time, MEDT proposed duties in the amount of 25-30 percent for imports of subject products from Ukraine.
