In the first quarter this year, the production of stainless finished steel in Russia decreased by seven percent year on year to 23,220 mt, according to Russia-based SpetsStal Association.

The decline in production was primarily due to the low business activity of end-users. It is also reported that end-users cannot find resources to replenish their stocks even during sharp rises in prices.
