Russian scrap exports decline in January-May

In May of the current year, Russia exported 450,000 mt of scrap, down 10 percent compared to May 2011 but increasing by two percent compared to April this year, according to the country's customs statistics.

In the January-May period of the current year, Russian exports of scrap decreased by 6.4 percent year on year to 1.83 million mt, including 732,000 mt to Turkey, 451,700 mt to Belarus and 183,000 mt to South Korea.
