According to the information issued by the Ukrainian Ministry of Economy, in the period from July 1, 2007 to February 29, 2008, Ukraine supplied 150,000 metric tons of cold rolled steel to Russia, utilizing 75 percent of its quota (covering the period from July 1, 2007 to June 30, 2008), under the quota agreement between the two countries.
According to the agreement signed between Russia and Ukraine, Ukraine's yearly quota for cold rolled exports to Russia stands at 200,000 metric tons for the 12 months from July 1, 2007 to June 30, 2008.
Meanwhile, in the first two months of 2008 Ukraine utilized 7.54 percent of its 2008 annual quota for rebar exports to Russia, supplying a total of 24,881 metric tons.
The yearly quota for Ukrainian rebar exports to Russia in 2008 is 330,000 metric tons.
