Russian finished steel production up 2.2 percent in 2011

According to the preliminary data, in 2011 Russia registered a 2.2 percent increase year on year in its finished steel product output to 59.3 million mt. Production of finished steel in 2011 almost reached the level of 2007, i.e., 59.6 million mt. In particular, in 2011 Russia produced 20 million mt of long steel products and 28 million mt of flat steel - up 11.1 and 3.3 percent respectively compared to 2010.
