Russian coal production up three percent in Jan-Feb

In the January-February period of the current year, coal production in Russia went up by 2.8 percent year on year to 56.81 million mt, including 28.09 million mt of coal produced in February, according to Russia's Central Dispatching Department of the Fuel and Energy sector.

Russian coal supply to the domestic market in January-February this year went down by 11.1 percent to 29.73 million mt year on year, including 14.52 million mt in February, down 7.8 percent year on year.

In the January-February period of the current year, Russian coal exports increased by 17.2 percent year on year to 23.93 million mt, including 11.43 million mt in February, up 13.8 percent compared to February 2013.
