Russian coal exports to China to total 12 million mt for current year

In 2010 coal supplies from Russia to China will exceed the previously anticipated volume of 10 million mt and will total about 12 million mt, Chinese Vice Premier Wang Qishan said at the Russian-Chinese energy dialogue held on November 22-23 in St. Petersburg.

"This year, coal imports to China from Russia will exceed 12 million mt. This was not expected, as during our meeting in September we were talking about 10 million mt," Mr. Wang said.
