Russia ups steel output in Jan-Nov 2006

According to the data released by the Russian Federation's Federal State Statistics Service, the country's crude steel production increased by seven percent year on year to 64.53 million metric tons in the January-November 2006 period. In addition, Russia registered a 6.6 percent increase in its converter steel production to 38.08 million metric tons and a 10.2 percent rise in its electric steel output to 13.65 million metric tons during the period in question.
