In the first seven months of the current year, Russia registered a 1.8 percent rise in its crude steel output to 41.1 million mt and a 2.8 percent increase in its rolled steel output to 35.5 million mt, both year on year, according to the State Statistics Committee of Russia (Russtat). In the given period, Russia saw a 4.2 percent increase year on year in its steel pipe production to 6.2 million mt.
In July alone, in Russia crude steel production increased by 6.6 percent, rolled steel output rose by 7.9 percent, while steel pipe production increased by 10.3 percent, all year on year.
