Russia issues first quarter production results

According to the State Statistics Committee of Russia (Russtat), in the first three months of the current year Russia registered a 1.1 percent decline in its rolled steel product output to 14.6 million mt and a one percent decrease in its crude steel output to 17.1 million mt, both year on year. Russia's pig iron production stayed unchanged on year-on-year basis at the level of 12.5 million mt. In the given period, Russia saw a 0.6 percent decrease year on year in its steel pipe production to 2.4 million mt.
